json{review: This hotel is a hidden gem, offering a fantastic base for exploring the Cotswolds. The family suite was spacious with a lovely view. Staff were friendly and attentive, though it's worth noting that dinners in the restaurant could be unhurried at times. The breakfast selection was freshly made. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-03-15}'''

A lovely spot for a short break! The hotel was spotless and the staff genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome. While the room was a bit smaller than expected, it was perfectly comfortable. The dinner menu was excellent, and breakfast exceeded our expectations. Definitely worth a visit!

Good location just outside Stow. Hotel on its own grounds with landscaping and parking. Modern and well decorated first class with comfortable rooms and facilities. Excellent value. Good location for touring Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Stratford.

What a good spot! The hotel has a lovely modern vibe and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I loved the little touches in the room-especially the coffee tray with hot chocolate and Molton Brown toiletries. Being just a mile from the town center made it a great base for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds! Plus, I really appreciated the on-site free parking and electric charging points.
There were a few drawbacks. The headboard in my room looked a bit worn, and the water pressure in the shower wasn't great at first. it’s near a busy road, so there's some traffic noise, which might bother light sleepers. Lastly, the restaurant could use an update on dealing with the fly issue. a lovely stay, just a few minor hiccups!

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the contempory decor and the public areas - bar area and restaurant were lovely. The first time we stayed we had a standard room which was immaculate and comfortable but small. We liked the hotel so much that we booked an extra night on our way back home and had one of the upstairs rooms (family room or suites) which was fitted out to the same standard but much roomier. One of the best things about the hotel was the food - the dinner menu had plenty of choice and was absolutely excellent. Very, very good chef who presented the perfectly cooked food well, in a relaxed setting. Live piano music on the Saturday evening added to pleasant atmosphere. Really good breakfasts as well. The two sisters who run this hotel are definitely doing an excellent job.
As mentioned above the standard rooms are small and our window faced a brick wall, so I would ask for one on the the other side of the corridor which I imagine would look over the fields. When we had the window open at night there was a kind of annoying noise coming from an airconditioning unit outside, I think.

The rooms were incredible even with the radiators turned to max, the staff were amicable. The hotel was set in a central area just next door to the restaurant, taxis and the opera at Longborough. It also was in the cotswolds.

The hotel is excellent with very attentive, friendly and professional staff. While the room we stayed in was quite small it had everything we needed. There was free wifi and an excellent restaurant. It's a little out of Stow down a long hill so we didn't try the walk. The staff and hotel quality really make this a special place to stay.

A Good Stay in the Cotswolds
I was eager to visit Birdland during my trip, as I had heard wonderful things about its diverse wildlife and beautiful setting. This eagerness led me to choose Number Four for its convenient location. To my pleasant surprise, I found that the daily deliveries of locally grown seasonal vegetables and fresh Cornish fish enhanced my dining experience. The cooked-to-order breakfast was good, and I particularly enjoyed the freshly ground coffee served between 8 and 10. In the evening, I relaxed in the comfortable lounge with its large sofas, enjoying a pleasant aperitif by the log-burning stove.

An excellent Hotel. Well run. Rooms spotless, decorated with great tatse and very up market. Just outside Stow on the Wold and with terrific on site parking. Hotel is only one year old. Breakfast first class, served by wonderfully helpful young people. International guests lend a nice atmoshpere. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel. In my view, the best value for money, upmarket hotel in the area. If you want that "English feel", do not go here - it is modern and unashamedly so.
